In recent images leaked by @universeice on Twitter/X, A prototype unit of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is shown next to the previous generation. These images showcase some of the changes that fans have been asking for, Like a slightly wider screen.
Samsung has updated this to offer the Galaxy Z Fold 6 a more boxy shape. That increases the internal volume slightly. It also reduces the radius of the corners which in turn will offer a sharper corner to the cover screen and the internal display. That’s more screen real estate.
Another notable difference is the power button and fingerprint sensor. The material looks much darker and the button is much bigger and takes up more of the rail space. Which likely means a better fingerprint reading.
Finally, You have the camera island with the three camera lenses as same as the previous flagship Z Fold 5. Many in the Samsung community hoped the Z Fold 6 would see an update to the foldable’s optical hardware. But, These are the exact same specs as the Galaxy Z Fold 5’s external cameras.
The industry is adopting AI as fast as possible, And Samsung has made a strong play to take the leading role through Galaxy AI on the Galaxy S24 family. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will add to that effort along with the new hardware. Going by the images, This looks like a real Galaxy Z Fold 6 dummy unit and Samsung is going unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 on 10 July 2024 “Unpacked” event.
